To the first article hee saith that for and during all the monethes<br />

Libellate ship the ''Warewell'', amd soe Comonly Accounted<br />
which hee knoweth for that hee belonged to and was Carpenter<br />
of the said ship for all the foresaid Time:/:
To the 2d 3d and 4th hee saith that on the second day of August<br />
last the said ship arrived in the River of Thames with<br />
a Lading of Coles in her, (which belonged to the said Clarke and Company)<br />
and anchored therewith neere Wapping Dock<br />
and there moored in a good Birth where ships doe usually<br />
Ryde at Anchor. and there she rode one fflood<br />
and about two Ebbs. during all which space there was noe<br />
appeareance of any Buoy of Anchor neere unto the Place<br />
where the said ship soe lay moored, and saith that after<br />
shee had lay there the space aforesaid the said shipp happened<br />
to be bilged upon an Anchor, which lay in the said ships<br />
birth without any buoy fastned thereto, and the said ship thereby<br />
receaved foure foote water in her hold before the master or<br />
any of the said ships Company perceived the same, and<br />
that soe soone as the same was discovered by her not winding<br />
the said Clarke caused both the said ships Pumpes to be plyed<br />
and the said Clarke got other men to helpe to pumpe, and to haule<br />
