hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition, and further<br />
cannot depose
To the 3d hee came in the ''hope'' from Milford Haven into<br />
the River of Thames as aforesaid./:
To the 4th hee saith hee hath knowne the said Producents only<br />
from the beginning of the said voyage, And the said [?Thompson]<br />
and [?Guiadier] are Batchelours but the said Otto is a<br />
Maried man, and his wife and Children did live at<br />
Amsterdam when the said ship proceeded from thence<br />
on the said voyage, and Doe there live at this Present<br />
as this deponent verily beleeveth. And further cannot<br />

but living at London in Thamestreete where hee hath lived theise 32 yeeres last<br />
aged 50 yeeres,<br />
or thereabout sworne and Examined./
To the 10th or last article of the said Allegation he saith that hee well<br />
knoweth the arlate Patrick Betts, and soe hath done from his<br />
birth, and saith the said Betts was borne at [?Clonmell] in the<br />
County of Tipperary in Ireland and his ffather was an English man and<br />
his mother an Irish woman, And saith that about Nineteene<br />
or twenty yeeres since the said Patrick Betts came from<br />
Ireland to this City of London, and here put himselfe Apprentice<br />
to one Captaine Edward Crispe an English seaman; with whom<br />
the said Betts here lived for the space of seaven yeeres, and hath<br />
ever since lived and inhabited in and about this City of London<br />
(saving when hee hath bin out upon Voyages) And is a subiect<br />
of this Commonwealth, And soe Comonly and generally accounted<br />
and reputed: The Premisses hee deposeth being borne in the<br />
same Towne that the said Betts was; and comming from thence<br />
about two and thirty yeeres since, and being well acquainted<br />
with him, And further cannot depose.
To the Interrogatories./. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first hee saith hee knoweth nothing of the ship or voyage in<br />
question, and saith as aforesaid that hee this Deponent was borne at [?ClaMel]<br />
aforesaid: and hath lived in Thamestreete for about 32 yeeres last<br />
and to the rest negatively saving hee this deponent is a farr off [XXXX]<br />
to the Producent./.
To the 2d 3d and 4th hee cannot answer for the reasons aforesaid./
To the 5th hee saith as aforesaid hee hath knowne the said Betts from his birth, and the Interrogated<br />
Ayleward for about 4 yeeres last, And the said Betts is a Batchelor. But the said<br />
Ayleward is a Married Man, and lives with his wife and family in good<br />
fashion in Leaden-hall Streete London. And to the rest Negatively for his [XXXX]
