Anderson, and James Kerr, are Scotchmen, and Inhabitants<br />
of Glascoe, and subjects of the King of England and<br />
for such they were and are Commonly accounted./:

To the first, it being done as required hee saith hee<br />
is 19 yeeres old, and is a mariner, and liveth at Burrogh[?stonesse GUTTER]<br />
in Scotland, and saith hee expecteth nothing for his<br />
testimony in this cause saving his meate Drinke<br />
and Lodging during the time hee is kept here about th[?is GUTTER]<br />

this Deponent hath often times Credibly heard and verily beleeveth<br />

lives most commonly save when hee is out upon voyages<br />
But saith that hee doth verily beleeve that they are both<br />
Subjects of the King of England, and nor Denizens of any<br />
Place in Holland or Subjects of the States of holland<br />
and saith hee was never at any place in Holland save<br />
at Rotterdam, and saith hee doth not knowe of whom the<br />
said ship ''Cock'' was bought, nor the ''hope'', nor what payd<br />
for them, nor what place they were built in Holland and further<br />
saving as aforesaid hee cannot Answer./:
To the 3.d and 4.th hee saith that after the ''Cock'' was bought as<br />
aforesaid at Rotterdam the said Ninian Anderson for accomt<br />
of himselfe the said John Anderson and James Kerr (as this<br />
Deponent verily beleeveth) did lade on board the said Ship a quantity<br />
of Deales, and some wines, and the same were delivered at Glascoe to John<br />
Anderson but what became of them afterwards he knoweth not<br />
neither doth hee knowe the vallue of that Lading, And saith that the<br />
