To the 9th and 10th hee saith that this De … To the 9th and 10th hee saith that this Deponent being soe dispossessed of<br />
the said ship, and turned on shore as aforesaid did [?make]<br />
inquiry and search after her and at length found her ryding [?aT]<br />
Cowes in the Isle of Wight, and there alsoe found the foresaid [XXX XX]<br />
tooke her, they being stopped by the Governour of [XXX]<br />
this deponent came thither, and at this Deponents coming hee found<br />
that the said Captaine and all or most of the said<br />
Company were runn away, knowing themselves<br />
to be Guilty, And saith that this deponent then and there [??went]<br />
onboard the said ship ''Saint Lewis'' and found very many things wanting which [?were]<br />
in her when shee was seized, namely one Cable. one<br />
maine saile, Potts, Kettles, and severall others things, [XXX XXX]<br />
with the foresaid wine, and the Cloathes moneyes amd necessaryes<br />
from this deponent and his Company foresaid were worth [XXX]<br />
And saith that (as this deponent hath<br />
bin informed by one that came lately from Cowes [XX]<br />
William Newland of Cowes hath taken out about [?fifteene ?last]<br />
of the said salt an as this deponent hath understood hee soe tooke it [?away] without any order And if some [?Speed ?it]<br />
be not taken for the Realeasing of the said ship and [XX]<br />
the owners thereof will (as hee saith) receive greate dammage,
