Transcription John Browne was master of the said ship foJohn Browne was master of the said ship for and during<br /> all the voyage in question untill the said ships seizure, and<br /> was master of her for some monethes before the begininnging of<br /> the said voyage. And well knoweth that the said<br /> John Browne, one Walter Browne and Robert Browne and Company were<br /> the Owners of the said shiip during the foresaid time. And soe<br /> Commonly accomted. And the said Brownes caused<br /> the said ship to be built at Rotterdam, where the said John Browne became<br /> master of her in or about September 1658 et alr nescit. Ad 2.udum et 3.um arlos dicit that hee hath bin Credibly Informed<br /> that the arlate Antonio ffernandez Carvajall did ffreight<br /> the said ship by Charter party for the voyage in question to<br /> goe from hence to Nants, there to take in a lading and<br /> carry the same to the Canaryes, and to the rest hee referreth<br /> himselfe to the Charter party made for the said<br /> voyage./ Ad 4.um dicit that the said ship ''Mary'' set saile from<br /> Gravesend on the said voyage on or about the 4th of<br /> ffebruary 1658., and was ready to have departed hence about<br /> tenn Dayes before but was hindred by the winde and weather<br /> And at the time of her departure hence shee was of this<br /> deponents knowledge a new strong and stanch vessell, and<br /> very well victualled, and provided and furnished with all<br /> tackle Apparrell Guns Ammunition and other things<br /> fit and necessary for such a ship, and such a voyage, as<br /> the voyage in queation, and sheee was manned all the said voyage with 11 men<br /> and 2 boyes besides the master, and for some partes of the voyage<br /> shee had another man belonging to her, and they (or soe<br /> many of them as were requisite were ready att all due<br /> times to serve the merchant that went in the said ship as hereafter<br /> is mentioned as hee pleased [?et ?alr] nescit./ Ad 5.um 6.um et 7.um dicit that the said ship sailing from hence<br /> as aforesaid arrived in the Road of Nants, where the foresaid ffernandez<br /> ffactor caused a Lading of goods to be put on board the<br /> said ship consisting in Pipe staves, Herrings, and severall<br /> Bales of merchandizes, and the same being soe loaden on board the saide ship<br /> shee carried the same (by order of the said ffactor to<br /> Oratava in Teneriffe, and the same were there delivered<br /> to the ffactor there of the said ffernandez, which said ffactor<br /> let the said ship to ffreight to a Genoa Merchant, who<br /> came onboard her at Garachico, and continued in her till<br /> her seizure, and the said ship being ballasted shee sett<br /> saile from Oratava by order of the said ffernandez his ffactor,<br /> which said ffactor ordered the said John Browne the master of the<br /> said ship to goe to such Ports and places as the said merchant<br /> ([XXXX GUTTER]e said merchant<br /> ([XXXX GUTTER]  +
