'''Thomas Sloper''' of Limehouse<br /> in the Parish of Stepney and County<br /> of Middlesex Mariner Late one of the<br /> Carpenters of the ship the ''ffrederick''<br /> aged 24 yeeres or thereabouts sworne<br /> before the right worshipfull John Godolphin Doctor<br /> of Lawes one of the Judges of the high<br /> Court of the Admiralty of England. and<br /> Examined upon Interrogatories ministred on the<br /> behalfe of the said Richard North, saith and<br /> deposeth by vertue of his oath:/: To the first Interrogatories hee saith that hee hath well knowne?th (sic)<br /> the said Richard North for about seaven yeeres last, who<br /> hee saith was Gunners mate of the said ship the ''ffrederick'' att<br /> the time of her seizure by some of the ships in the service<br /> of the Dutch East India Company of holland, which<br /> seizure was soe made about ffifteene moneths since<br /> The Premisses hee deposeth, goeing from hence in the<br /> said ship ''ffrederick'', and Continueing aboard her till<br /> the time of her said seizure and further deposeth not.
