'''dt. Captaine Pennier.''' '''Henry Booth''' of London Gentleman aged<br /> 66 yeares or thereabouts sworne and Examined<br /> saith as followeth./. To the jst article of the Allegation hee saith and deposeth, that in or about the<br /> monethes of June July, and August 1649, the arlate Mathew<br /> Pennyer was Captain, and Comander of a certaine<br /> Frigott then Commissionated by his Majesty Charles the second<br /> by the grace of God King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland,<br /> defender of the ffaith et cetera, or by his Royall Highnes, James Duke<br /> of Yorke, but the name of the said ffrigott hee saith hee doth not<br /> now Certainely remember, but beleeveth that shee was then<br /> Called the ''Charles'', And further to this article hee saith hee cannot<br /> depose./.
