Open questions about processes and procedures

Citations. Do we want to choose a preferred citation format? - PaulaMarmor (talk) 20:34, February 7, 2018 (UTC)

Comments and defintions. On glossary entries - is it okay to just add comments, definitions, and citations where I have them, as time permits? Or is there some sort of discussion-and-concurrence process you want to go through (as happens naturally when questions are opened up via Twitter)? - PaulaMarmor (talk) 20:34, February 7, 2018 (UTC)

Concise vs. verbose definitions. On items like "Livery Lace", I can say "woven trim used on servant's uniforms" or I can say "colorful narrow woven flat trim of silk and worsted, sometimes with metallic threads, used as edgings on servant's uniforms", either one with a citation to a source. Which is better? (My natural style is verbose...) - PaulaMarmor (talk) 20:34, February 7, 2018 (UTC)

Cross-references and new entries. Is there any process for adding and cross-referencing entries? For example - I have info on points (including a photo of an extant C. 17 set in Sweden) but it might be better on a general entry for "poynts" than on your current "black silke poynts" which is quite specific. I could add the entry "poynts" with the same citation but I don't want to step on your students' process. Or I could just add the note and photo to "black silk poynts". (It's a wiki, we can always move it later if we find more references to points.) - PaulaMarmor (talk) 20:34, February 7, 2018 (UTC)
