1. To the 5th hee cannot answere/
2. To the 6th hee saith hee very well knoweth the Interrogate Robert Bevin and TO DO: sXX
3. hee knoweth hee was the voyage in question factor at the Teneriff one of the
4. Canary Islands for the Interrogate Travers, and saith hee is not soe well
5. acquainted with the said Bevins handwriting as to know whether the XXXX
6. noate showed him at the tyme of this his examination ineationed in this
7. Interrogatorie hee sayd Bevins handwriting or subscribed by ˹siyled˺ therein, And
8. to the rest of the interrogatorie he cannot answere./
9. To the 7th hee cannot answere knowing nothing touching the contents thereof/
10. To the 8th hee saith hee hath heard ˹the Interrogatorant Burridge saye˺ that there were now some pipes of wine which should
11. have bin laden aboard the Martin Roger Paxton Master and were by mistake put
12. aboard the John and Mary william Webber Master but the number ˹or˺ for whoseof TO DO: And
13. they were the sayd Burridge did not declare to this deponent, And there for hee
14. cannot further answere to his interrorgaotie./
15. To the 9th hee saith hee cannot answere neither doth it concern him to answere
16. thereto having not deposeth to the article interrogate/
17. To the 10th hee cannot answere neither doth it concerne him soe to doe having
18. not deposeth to the article Interrogate./
19. To the 11th hee saith that the sayd Paxtons shipp came consigned to the sayd
20. Bourridge who was to freight her wholly but saith the sayd Bourridge having
21. not wines sufficiant of his owne to freight her did last past of her tonnage
22. to his deponent and hee beleveeth the sayd Burridge paid Indulto money for
23. so much wines as hee laded aboard her, and hee his deponent well knoweth
24. that for what wines hee this deponent laded on board her hee this deponent
25. paid Indulto money him selfe after the rate aforementioned and saith
26. hee heard ˹the sayd˺ Burridge and others in Teneriff saye that the sayd Paxtons
27. shipp could have carried thirty or forty pipes of wynes more then shee
28. had on board her the voyage in question, and further hee cannot answere/
29. Repeated before both Judge in Court/
