Transcription

To the last hee saith that what hee hath predeposed is
true.

To the crosse Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith that hee was a passenger
abord the said ship the Saint Martin when shee came last from
Smirna bound for Ligorne and saith hee had some goods for
his owne accompt abord her when shee came from thense and at
the tyme of the seizure thereof. And otherwise referring himselfe to
his foregeoing deposition hee saith hee cannot depose.

To the second Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee hath knowne
the producent by the space of about 8 yeares and saith hee is
of Spaham in Persia where hee was borne, And that hee this
Examinate was borne at Constantinople where his wife and family
now dwell and Inhabite And otherwise saveing his foregoeing
deposition hee answereth negatively.

To the third Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that the said
ship the Saint Martin is a ffrench shippe and her Comander and
all her Company save 5 or 6 hee saith were and are ffrench men
And otherwise saveing as aforesaid hee answereth negatively.

To the fowrth Interrogatorie hee answereth negatively referring himselfe
to his foregoeing deposition.

To the fifth Interrogatorie hee saith that the goods now claymed
in this cause are of the growth of severall Countreys and places videlicet
the Grogoran yarne schedulated of Begbazar in the Turks dominions
the worme seed and Rubarb of the growth of Balke and [BXXXX GUTTER]
within the Kingdome of Usbeck and lastly the 5 bales of silke
are of the growth of the parts and places neere Ardiveile in Persia
And further saith thát hee was as a foresaid present when
the producent bought the sáme. And otherwise hee answereth
negatively.

To the 6th Interrogatorie hee saith that the said producent came
from leghorne to Smirna ymediately before hee retourned
from thense for Smirna againe. And saith that the ffrench
had never any thing to doe with the goods claymed in this
cause nor were they to runne any advanture or hazard
there a bouts referring himselfe to his foregoeing deposition
And otherwise answereth negatively.

To the {seaventh} Interrogatorie hee saith that hee this Examinate did
see aNd was present when the said Michael Audric signed
the said schedule or bill of loading annexed and saith [when GUTTER]
hee soe signed the same hee allso signed another [XXXXX GUTTER]
at Smirna for better security and least hee should by any [XXX GUTTER]
have lost that which is now annexed to the said Allegation And
otherwise hee answereth negatively saveing that the said producent
was to pay freight and Cambio money according to his said bill of ladeinge./
