IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I George Dashwood of Hackney in the County of Middlesex Esquire being sick and weake in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised bee Allmighty God for the same Doe make and declare my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say

ffirst and Principally I Commend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator and to his Sonne Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer trusting and assuredly beleiving through his merrits and the mercy of God to have full pardon and remission of all my sinns and offences and to bee made Partaker of Everlasting life in his glorious Kingdome My body I commit to the earth from whence it came to bee decently buryed at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named

And to the disposition of that Estate it hath pleased Allmighty God to lend mee in this transitory life I freely parte

with and give the same as followeth vizt.

IMPRIMIS I doe hereby give and bequeath unto my sonne Richard Dashwood All and singular those Annuall of ffee ffarme Rents other rents pensions and yearely Payments and summes of money ariseing or growing due out of or for any Mannors lands Tenements or Hereditaments or otherwise in the severall Countyes of Lancaster Cumberland and Westmoreland or in either or any of them as well as in possession as in reversion whereof I am Seized or Interessed or whereof any Person or Persons stand Seized or Interessed in trust for mee And alsoe all Annuall of ffee ffarme rents pentions or yearely payments ariseing or growing due or payable out of or for any Mannors Lands Tenements or Hereditaments or otherwise in the County of Yorke which I now have or any others have in trust for mee whether in present possession or in revertion expectant on the death of Queene Katherine the now Consort of the Kings Majestie To have hold receive perceive and enjoy unto my said Sonne Richard and the heires of his body lawfully to bee begotten And for deafult of such Issue unto my Sonne George Dashwood and the heires of his body lawfully to bee begotten And for deafult of such Issue unto my sonne Sir Robert Dashwood Knight and the heires of his body lawfully to bee begotten And for default of such Issue to the right Heires of mee the said George Dashwood the Testator for ever

ITEM I doe hereby give and bequeath unto my said sonne George Dashwood all and singular those Annuall of ffee ffarme rents and other rents pentions and yearely Payments and summes ariseing and groweing due or payable out of or for any Mannors Lands Tenements or Hereditaments otherwise within the Countie of Somerset whereof I am Seized or Interested or whereof any other Person or Persons stand Seized or Interessed in trust for mee To hold receive perceive and enjoy unto my said Sonne George Dashwood and the heires of his body lawfully to bee begotten from and immediately after the death of my dearely beloved wife M:rs Margarett Dashwood unto whome I doe hereby give and bequeath my said ffee ffarme Rents in Somerset To hold receive and enjoy unto my said wife for and dureing her naturall life in parte of her dower and Joynture And default of Issue of my said Sonne George I will my said rents in Somersetshire unto my said sonne Richard Dashwood and the heires of his body lawfully to bee begotten And for default of such Issue

ITEM I give unto my said dearely beloved wife M:rs Margarett Dashwood All those Mannours Lands Tenements and Hereditaments lately purchased of my Sonne in Lawe S:r Thomas Hare lyeing and being in the Countyes of Suffolke and Essex To have and To hold unto my said wife for and dureing her naturall life in leiw and full satisfaction of her dower thirds and Joynture upon Condition Nevertheless that within six Months after my decease shee by good and sufficient Release in the Law doe acquitt and discharge all her right title Interest thirds Dower and title of Dower of in and to all and every the Mannours Messuages Lands Tenements rents and Hereditaments whereof I am or have been Seized of any Estate whereof shee may be endowed And from and after the decease of my said wife I give the said estate in Suffolk and Essex unto my said Sonne George and the heires of his body And for default of such Issue unto my said Sonne Sir Robert Dashwood and the heires of his body And for default of such Issue unto the right heires of mee the said George Dashwood the Testator for ever

And I doe hereby direct and appoint that the respective Trustees of my reall estate and their heires doe convey and execute Estates of all and singuler the Premisses according to this my Will

ITEM I will that all my debts I shall Justly owe at the time of my decease and my funerall expences shall bee paid satisfyed and discharged out of my Personall Estate

ITEM I give unto my said Deare and loveinge wife all her Rings Jewells and Parapharnalia and the Lease of my House at Hackney and all my Household goods and plate therein and also my Coach and horses furniture and Stack of hay in the yard And as a further token of my deare affection to my said Wife I give her the summe of One Thousand pounds to bee paid unto her immediately after my decease

ITEM I give unto my said Sonne S:r Robert Dashwood whome I have allready preferred and advanced in Marriage as a further token of my love the summe of one thousand pounds to bee paid unto him immediately after my decease

ITEM I give unto my Sonne Richard Dashwood the summe of Sixteene thousand pounds to bee paid unto him at his age of one and twenty yeares together with the Interest and proceed which shall bee made thereof in the meane time

ITEM I give and bequeath unto my said sonne George Dashwood the Summe of twenty one thousand pounds of lawfull money to be paid unto him at his age of one and twenty yeares together with the Interest and proceed that shall bee made thereof in the meane time And my will and meaningis that if either of my said two Sonnes Richard and George shall die before they shall attaine their respective ages of one and twenty yeares that the summe and summes of money hereby given unto each sonne soe dyeing shall bee and goe unto the Survivors and Survivor of my said three Sonnes and my two Daughters equally

ITEM I doe hereby give and bequeath unto my Daughter Anne Dashwood the summe of fourteene thousand pounds to bee paid unto her at her age of one and twenty yeares or day of her Marriage with the consent and good likeing of my said wife her Mother and my Executors hereafter named which shall first happen together with the Interest and proceed which shall bee made thereof in the meane time And In case my said daughter Anne shall happen to die before shee shall attaine such age or bee Marryed as aforesaid Then I will that the said summe of money hereby given to my said Daughter Anne shall bee and goe And I hereby devise the same unto and amongst all my surviving Children share and share alike

ITEM I doe give and bequeath unto my Grandsonne Ralph Hare Esq:r the summe of two hundred pounds to bee paid into the hands of his father S:r Thomas Hare for his use immediately after my decease the said S:r Thomas giveing his bond to my said Executor for payment thereof with Interest to the said Ralph Hare when hee shall attaine his age of one and twenty yeares I doe alsoe give unto my Granddaughter Elizabeth Hare the Summe of five hundred pounds to bee paid unto the said S:r Thomas her father for her use immediately after my decease hee giveing Security as aforesaid for repaym:t thereof with Interest to her at her age of one and twenty yeares or day of her marriage which shall first happen. And in case wither of my said Grandchildren shall die before the respective Summes aforesaid shall bee payable I will that the Legacy or summe of him or her soe dyeing shall bee paid unto the Survivor of them and unto each other Child or Children as the said Sir Thomas Hare shall then have by my daughter equally

ITEM I doe hereby give unto my said Sonne in Law S:r Thomas Hare and to my loveing daughter the Lady Elizabeth his wife the summe of forty pounds to buy them Mourning

ITEM I give unto every of my brothers and brothers in Law which shall be liveing at my decease twenty pounds apeece to buy mourning for them and their respective wives

ITEM I give unto every of the Sonnes of my brothers ffrancis John Richard and William Dashwood that shall be liveing at my decease ten pounds apeece for Mourning.

ITEM I give unto my Cosen Samuel Dashwood Sonne of my brother Richard Dashwood the Summe of two hundred pounds to bee paid unto him within twelve Months next after my decease

ITEM I give unto Sarah Dashwood Daughter of my Cosen John Dashwood the Summe of five hundred pounds to bee paid unto her at her age of one and twenty yeares or day of Marriage which shall first happen

ITEM I give unto every of the sonnes of my said Cosen John Dashwood the summe of one hundred pounds apeece to bee paid unto them at their respective ages of one and twenty yeares And In case any of the said Children of my said Cosen John Dashwood shall die before their respective Legacyes shall become payable the Legacy or Legacyes of him her her or them soe dyeing shall bee and goe unto the Survivors and Survivor of his said Children share and share alike

ITEM I give unto my Servant Robert Dashwood the summe of thirty pounds if hee shall bee liveing with mee at the time of my decease

ITEM I give unto my Cosen John Hare five pounds and to his two Children one hundred pounds apeece to bee paid unto them when they shall attaine their respective ages of one and twenty yeares And if either of them shall die before such age the Survivor to have the whole two hundred pounds

ITEM I give unto Daniell Chandler one of the sonnes of my Cosen Chandler one hundred pounds apeece to bee paid unto them when they shall attaine their respective ages of one and twenty yeares And In Case

Cartwright, George Sylvannus, X.X., John Harrison.
