Transcription

To the second Interrogatorie hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition
and cannot otherwise answer.

To the rest of the Interrogatories hee saith hee cannot depose, insomuch
as hee was not in the voyage, nor knoweth ought thereof or of the
lading of the goods in question or any thing concerning the same.

Examined upon the foresaid allegation.

Martin keene of fflushing in Zealand Mariner
aged 54 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first article hee saith and deposeth that hee hath well
knowne the producent Petr Markeree for theise twenty foure
yeares last past or thereabouts, during all which time hee the said
Peter hath lived and dwelt and bin an housekeeper and kept his
wife and familie in Middleborowe in Zealand, and hath there had
three successive wives, and was (as is commonly said) borne there where this
deponent well knew his father, and saith hee the said Peter is
the Captaine of the Burgerie there, and a merchant of good
accompt, and for such as aforesaid hee the said Peter was and is
commonly accompted and reputed, which hee knoweth having bin
for all the said foure and twenty yeares well acquainted with the
said Peter this deponent living at fflushing neere Middleborowe
and as a mariner frequenting the trade of Middleborowe and
thereby alsoe having much conversation with the said Peter. And
otherwise hee cannot depose, saving the said Peter dwelleth by the
Spuy streete in Middleborowe.

Upon the rest hee is not examined by direction of the producent.

To the first hee saith hee this rendent was borne and hath dwelt
all his time in fflushing, and otherwise negatively.

To the second hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and
cannot otherwise answere.

To the rest of the Interrogatories hee saith hee cannot depose
for that hee was not in that voyage in question, nor knoweth
ought of the goods in question or concerning the said voyage or lading
